Victory at International Contest
Reuben and Libby, past puppies raised by Carol's Corgis, were Best Jr. Male and
Female today at a show in Leiden. Libby also became Dutch Jr. Champion. Reuben
became Dutch Jr. Champion in January. They were also Reserve Best Coupling Class.
Their next show will be April 5th. Congratulations to the Koots family. Thank you for the
wonderful support and love, which you have given to both Reuben and Libby.

Past Puppy Wins International Dog Show Awards
On November 7, LC Fortin Reuben was chosen "Best Male Dog", CAC and won
"Excellent Junior Class."  Reuben was raised by Carol's Corgis and purchased by the
Koots family in Amsterdam.  He is scheduled to be shown again at the end of the
month.  Our puppies have received national attention over the past year.  The judge at
this particular dog show was from Australia and the show was a CAC/CACIB show.  We
wish Reuben the best of luck in his future shows.  Congratulations to the Koots family
for purchasing this wonderful dog.

Puppies Prepare for Trip to Amsterdam
Three purebred puppies from the Heartland (pictured top right of this page) are going to
be making their new home in The Netherlands soon.  Dog breeders Gertruud and John
Koot live outside Amsterdam, and they came to Green City, Missouri to pick up their
Pembroke Welsh Corgis from the Carol and Les Williams farm.  (

The two couples took the dogs to the vet's office in Kirksville Friday to be implanted with
microchips.

The Koots bought a pup from the Williams last year and had it shipped to The
Netherlands.  They liked it so much they decided to travel to the United States
themselves and get two more.

"We had said the next time we get one, we're coming to America to pick it up," said John
Koot.

"I've never been to America before. It's the first time." Reporter: "What do you think about
it?" "It's different, completely different than our country. There is much space, and it's
good-looking here. I like it here," said Gertruud Koot.

The Koots told KTVO they're impressed by how nice people here are. They even made
their first trip ever to Wal-mart Friday. Amsterdam does not have any Wal-mart stores.

They'll be spending the weekend in Green City before heading home with their new
dogs early next week.

Carol's Corgis Goes International: Welcome Abroad George
Carols Corgis would like to congratulate the Koots Family of the Netherlands for
purchasing one of
Hope & Toby's Fall 2007 litter puppies.  George traveled this past
week over to Amsterdam, and will be shown throughout Europe at AKC dog shows. He
will later be used for breeding purposes and as their faithful companion. We will keep
you all informed with his progress, and provide pictures when they become available.
Again, congrats to the Koots family and to our many other domestic buyers.
